Crop Cover 17g Hobby

Agrimpex Crop Cover 17 g/m² from the Hobby range is a lightweight, white polypropylene nonwoven fabric designed to protect plants during spring and the early growing season. It creates a favourable microclimate around crops, helping protect young plants from light frost, cold winds, excessive sunlight and sudden temperature changes.
Thanks to its breathable and water-permeable structure, the fabric allows air and rainwater to reach plants while helping retain warmth and soil moisture beneath the cover. This supports healthy plant development and can encourage earlier growth and harvesting.

Applications

Crop Cover 17 g/m² is suitable for protecting vegetables, herbs, flowers and young fruit plants during spring cultivation.

It is particularly useful for covering potatoes, lettuce, cabbage, cucumbers and other vegetables sensitive to changing weather conditions.

The fabric can be laid directly over plants, providing lightweight protection while allowing them to grow underneath. It is an ideal solution for home gardens, vegetable beds, allotments and small-scale horticultural cultivation.

Material and Properties

Manufactured from lightweight polypropylene (PP), the nonwoven fabric combines low weight with durability and good permeability.

Its structure allows water to penetrate the material immediately after application, helping prevent water accumulation on the surface while maintaining suitable moisture conditions for plant growth.
